Fujifilm X-Pro 1, first shots

Finally made it into town today and took a total of 151 shots, a couple of dozen of which I am quite pleased with. The X-Pro 1's focus is reasonably quick, and I shot the majority of images in this mode. I used manual focus for the remainder; all images @ F8 or F11 (at 1/500). Pictures follow:

Fuji X-Pro 1 acquired (watch this space) ...

Last year I sold my Fuji X-100s and bought a Panasonic GM1. I don't regret the Panasonic purchase, as it's a exceptionally pocketable camera (particularly when mounted with the Olympus body cap lens, which, incidentally is not a bad performer, even in low light situations), but I do regret selling the Fuji.

Anyway, I happened to see the XP1 on offer at an exceptionally low price, a deal which included the 18mm F2 lens. I succumbed, and am now the proud owner of the camera. I've configured the settings and familiarised myself with the X-Pro 1, but I won't take it out until I've received a 52mm UV filter which I've ordered to protect the lens. I hope to go on my first proper photo shoot with the camera next week, so watch this space! Meanwhile a few pics taken recently with my Panny GM1:
